whether right move or wrong move, no tribe is allowed to come into igboland and kill our people. We will not take it and we will not pretend over it.

The issues cannot be narrowed to any one tribe or any one incident. Nomadic murderers are slaughtering people across the country including Benue, Taraba, Nasarawa, Plateau which are "fellow Northern States". Criminals, militant, kdinappers, rapists and arsonists are also on the prowl. Inter-ethnic violence have occurred in Lagos, Jos, Kaduna etc. Killings by ANY tribe, ANY religion should not be rationalized or accepted. All of them are symptomatic of deeper issues. We condemn these Aba killings. We condemn the massacre in Enugu. We condemn the Agatu killings. We condemn violence and killings everywhere. All Nigerians deserve to be respected and protected by government and the security forces.

Gbam. the igbos think they have monopoly of violence

The average Hausa/Fulani man is quick to temper, and quick to resort to weapons. I don't killings though, except on self-defense... Assuming this Hausa guy called in a Police instead of the solder, may be it would have been a different story.

In the end those onlookers who choose to ignore the fighting nomads will be blamed for not aligning with the nomad who valued human life, to fight against the nomad who valued cows.
Unfortunately for the fighting nomads, the onlookers has watched them made the same mistake over and over again and has drawn their own conclusion that IT IS THEIR BUSINESS, KO KAN AYE.

I'm yet to understand you this guy what exactly are you talking about. I think you are just all mouth, i mean you are very heavily mouthed. People like you will still make derogatory comment if nothing was done to the said stabber anyway thats not my problem for now.
* I just read through your self acclaimed peaceful and well mouthed diplomatic approach. You were quick to start taking about yoruba as an epitome of peace without ing the region has been an epitome of violence even before 1966. Rigging and violence in the west was what lead to the fall of the civilian rule...
Stop playing devil's advocate and say what ever you want in short and clear . History has always shown that talkative are alway cunning and dangerous. People should not take their words as they always have many alternatives but one thing is constant about talkatives: which is their cowardice and inability to take a stand...

As we pray for peace and the continued existence of our dear country Nigeria, some sections of the country needs to understand that violence is not the solution. The recent riot in Aba is a reference point in such cases. It was alleged (without proof) that an Hausa man stabbed an Igbo guy to death and immediately the IGBOS resorted to reprisals. It is so unfortunate that the easterners could react in such a brutal manner. Why can't you arrest the Hausa man and hand him over to the police? Two wrongs will never make a right. How can you kill in order to avenge the death of another? Southerners generally are known to be peaceful either SW/SS or SE. We should not be tempted to act like animals who don't value lives all because of retaliation and jungle justice. The IGBOS should they are the most travelled tribe and they have more IGBOS up north than Hausa/fulanis in the SE. The actions in Aba could put the IGBOS in the north in trouble if the northerners decides to retaliate. The north has been known for their aggressive approach to confrontations and in order to avoid a scenario of the civil war, I implore the IGBOS to embrace diplomacy and peace. No body has the monopoly of violence. The northerners and the herdsmen are Nigerians and they have the right to live and do their business in any part of the country. They should not be stigmatised because of the attitudes of a few bad eggs amongst them. The recent Aba clashes is a result of the staunch hatred and bile Nnamdi Kanu preached on radio Biafra. He poisoned the minds of millions of IGBOS and made them un patriotic. He called for the death of Yoruba and Hausa fulanis and the results is the clashes we have today. This is why people like Nnamdi Kanu does not deserve freedom. He is a threat to national security. The solutions to this incessant clashes is to the grazing bill so the federal government can create grazing reserves for the fulanis in every state of the country. Even the governor of Ebonyi state agreed that the grazing bill is the only path to peaceful coexistence. The IGBOS need to learn from Yorubas peaceful nature. This is why the SW is the most peaceful region in the country. Yorubas are slow to anger no matter the level of provocation. It's not cowardice but diplomacy. I will not the killing of anyone in any form. We must respect the sanctity of life and stop acting like animals. Until the IGBOS begin to see Nigeria as their home and forget the evil thought of Biafra, they will keep seeing others as enemies especially the northerners. Lord luggard saw a great potential in our diversity before merging us. Let's works together to make Nigeria great. Say no to senseless killings. Btw I'm Yoruba and just making #commonsense cool

@ joborskill . I have my reservations for some of the things you wrote. i will not go the tribal way because of the obvious. The issue of the grazing bill is my concern. The bill is faulty as it will not address the fundamental needs of the Nomads. The are more profitable ways of conserving grasses. The government need to brain storm on this problem and not a hurriedly packaged bill. What the nomads need is a change of orientation. Have you asked your self the owners of those cattle? i bet you they don't live in the bush like the guys working for them. This guys are humans and should be in good houses not in the bush. The owners of the cattle are wealthy enough to provide land in the north and plant good quality grass for their cattle that way the nomads will get settled and have a life too.
