Bishop T. D. Jakes He currently is the pastor of The Potter's House, in Dallas, Texas. His views on God and water baptism is Oneness Pentecostal. For the 2006 PBS program African American Lives, Jakes had his DNA analyzed; his Y chromosome showed that he is descended from the Igbo people of what is now Nigeria. It is very possible because history made it known that a lot of africans were taken as slaves to america ,they remained there after regaining freedom generations later .This was what led to Black Americans or African Americans.Who knows if T.d Jakes forefathers were captured that same way from nigeria to america.Alot of black american celebrities have traced their route to african countries.After all they are not from the moon.
