Means it's quite close to 2017 revenue. Nigeria should maximize crude oil revenue for human capital development. Oil won't last forever

Impressive performance by NNPC Limited! 🚀 The N5.89 trillion revenue and N748 billion PAT in just one month shows real momentum. Encouraging to see investments in infrastructure like the AKK and OB3 pipelines nearing completion — game changers for the energy sector. Also commendable are the community impact efforts — from cataract surgeries to ICT training and farmer empowerment. Let’s hope the unaudited figures hold strong after review and that these developments translate into long-term economic benefits for Nigerians. 👏🇳🇬

Crude oil sales should not be included in the revenue. Nigeria owns the crude oil, but refining products and additional services should be listed as what constitutes NNPLC revenue and profits.

So many comments here reek of arrogant display of ignorance. Well, I'm not surprised. They the usual bitterleaf people. It is in their blood. ShenTeh: Let me ask you, how many of your family or household, your neighbours, your coworkers, Those in your street, your church or those in your neighbourhood have died of poverty and hunger? And is there any time in history of humankind that we don’t have hungry people among us? Even in the days of the Bible. nairalanda1: Do you that your darling GEJ was borrowing to pay workers minimum wage salary of N18,000? But you never campaign that he should be voted out. Your hypocrisy is quite apalling. barinedan: Is there any country in the world that does not borrow? And if you don't want the government to borrow, are you ready to pay higher taxes so government can have money to meet its financial obligations? 13 Likes |

No subsidy, more money At the end of the day, NNPC is being forced to.work for it's money. No more free gift The only pain is that this could have happened since 1992 if we had listened 25 Likes 2 Shares |

I am not sure some of you understand economics. 1. You borrow so you can have cash reserves in case you need to meet obligations 2. You cannot wait for remittances to pay obligations like Salary, but you can use those fundings to plan future expenses. 3. It is called a CREDIT system. It is common in the West. 4. These funds may not be enough, but the exploration of Ogoni Lands begin soon. 5. When we start making and remitting more than budget, we will have surplus, then we can stop borrowing and pay off debt. 6. Borrowing can also help to increase capital for investments into Oil and Gas, Agriculture --- the revenues will pay off debts and expand the economy. 7. Like Peter Obi once said, the issue is not borrowing but what you are using it to do. 8. Even USA still borrows...and they control the World Capital Market...for now. ogododo: 5 Likes |
