The truth is that in the civil service and governance in Nigeria, they never do clean and thorough job, even in looting, they still make mistakes

Imagine having such a large corterie of aides and hands, yet almost all their affairs are always ridden with error.

Instead of getting Reno and Onanuga to be attack dogs, they'll be more useful in proof reading documents before releases before they sign out the small change wey still remain in error.

Dr Edwin Madunagu is a distinguished academic and writer. I have read one of his books many years back.

It saddens me greatly that he is unknown to GenZs and Gen Alphas. Even Millenials will not know him.

His inclusion and that of Festus Iyayi marks one of the first national awards where a great deal of focus has been given to the academia.

Otherwise, such lists were always populated by politicians and corrupt politicians.

Ah, this man Dr. Edwin Madunagu. A fighter. A great man. I underwent a programme under him some years ago. The tutoring was worthwhile, even though looking back, the programme seemed like a simp men school.

Conscientising Male Adolescents (CMA). The programme prepared me for responsible adulthood. Otherwise someone like me, only God knows what I would have turned into.


For his dogged fight with the military (who are way better than the looters in agbada), he deserves a lot of national honours. His wife (Prof. Bene Madunagu) was also a one-time Chairman of ASUU in a university in the South-south.

The whole award and ceremony is a completely vain and worthless reward/endeavor. What are they celebrating No light, no roads (military built more roads and infrastructure), no jobs, inflation and xchange rate abysmal, insecurity - order of the day, corruption 5000% (240M to build, then 39B to renovate). No need to mention more.... Military still conducted the most successful election till date.... they fought for nothing but their pocket and family.
