Airtel Network Frustrating My Business. Any Alternative? (552 Views)

I spend average of N5,000 daily on Airtel data which amounts to about 2 million naira every year. Recently, I observed that Airtel just shuts me out of the internet almost every 2 hours, even when I have robust data. This has continued unabated for the past 6 months, and they are relentless about it. I have called them several times to complain, what I get is the usual questions, which ends with 'switch off your phone for 5 minutes'. I hold virtual seminars and meeting on DNA testing and genetic testing with both local and international clients. Getting shut out of the internet while you are doing this can be very embarrassing and financially costly. Why should I have data and yet struggle to browse the internet, even when the costs of their data is now so exorbitant. I need a lasting solution and alternative. What is the best hitchless internet service provider and how much does it to subscribe. Business owners, internet guru please bring your suggestion. I want to cut off Airtel for good. I'm tired. |

DNAPro:Liverpool I can never walk alone. I thought it was only me, guess what? I would have 2 gig na dem go decide when to browse and if I should exhust my data before expiring day. Very stupid network but I noticed when I went to my friend side the network was fast so I think it depends on your location . Find network wey good in your location or buy starlinks jeje 1 Like |

That same Airtel has unlimited data of two types. Cheap one. Will work only on their 4G or 5G router. You can configure your Mifi imei to work with it. It’s same normal unlimited you know but cheaper. Price 14k, monthly you buy it from a reseller. Second one - you buy it directly from Airtel. It’s unlimited only work with their router too. Price, N35,000 for up to 40Mbps, and N50,000 for up to 60Mbps. There used to be a 20k one, but it doesn’t work no more to the best of my knowledge. I’m currently using the first one. |

Obviouslyblunt: I have spent up to 10 million Naira subscribing to Airtel over the past 4 years. Cutting me out of the internet whenever they please over the past 6 months is no longer tolerable. It can make one go crazy. Over the past 3 months, I call them every almost everyday on 300 to complain, they simply won't fix the issue or just want swindle me with usual 'switch off your phone protocol'. It is evident that they are ok with the annoying situation and frustrating businesses dependent on the internet. It is time for a change. |

DNAPro: Buy starlinks anf have your peace of mind Starlink currently cost about 700k per year( 58k per month) Then another 600k to acquire the device Good part is You can acquire the device Sell it almost same price if you won't need it anymore You pay a monthly subscription of 58k As they no longer do it for 38k The only reason why I could run a workspace business was because I had the option of starlinks Below is my current month usage for 38k 2 Likes 1 Share |

If you're running internet dependent business in Nigeria you must have at least 2 or 3 network subscriptions. 1. Your primary network is the one that has the best connection in your area. You have to test multiple ones before you pick this. 2. Your fallback network is the one with the second best connection/speed in your area. 3. Your spare network. You almost never use this one. But one day, you're so desperate you need to get things done now now. This is the only way to avoid high BP. |
